From WUT to the Dakar Rally

Jakub Przygoński. The fastest Polish motorcyclist in the history of the Dakar Rally is the graduate of the Faculty of Automotive and Construction Machinery Engineering.

In the Dakar Rally 2014, Jakub is riding motorcycle KTM450 Rally Replica. After stage 5 he’s in the 7th position in the general classification. We keep our fingers crossed for him!!!

He loved all kinds of sports from early childhood. Swimming, parachuting, diving, sqash, hiking – he’s done it all. But motorcycles were his favorite, among them Kawasaki KX80 – his first motorcycle.

In 1998 Jakub took part in his first motocross run, and four later became a member of the Poland National team Enduro. Dreaming of the Dakar Rally he took part in the Pharaohs Rally.

When he was 22, he became the youngest member of Orlen team, and in 2009 for the first time took part in the Dakar Rally. He finished it in the 11th place.

Apart from his sporting successes, he got the engineering degree at the Warsaw University of Technology and continued his studies at the Warsaw School of Economics.Image
